Steven Harsey Textile has been appointed the exclusive distributor for Christian Fischbacher in Southern California. Fischbacher is a leading European editor with headquarters in St. Gallen, Switzerland and world-wide distribution. This marks the first introduction of their product line under their name in North America.

The interior fabrics division of Christian Fischbacher includes a wide selection of sheers, drapery, and upholstery textiles. The company, which was founded in 1819 is currently headed by the 5th generation of Fischbacher’s, all sharing the name of the founder, Christian Fischbacher. The exclusive fabric collections are designed in their Swiss design studio and many feature large repeats which create dramatic and unique window treatments. The upholstery range includes plains and jacquards, most of which are woven in natural fibers. Created especially for the hospitality line is an extensive Trevira collection, also exclusively woven for Fischbacher.

Steven Harsey Textiles is a Placentia, California based distributor of exclusive decorative fabrics with showrooms in the Pacific Design Center, Laguna Design Center and in San Diego. “Our customers are always asking for something new,” stated Rosemary Harsey, co-founder, of the 24 year old company. “We now have a story to tell that started over 180 years ago and features wonderful fabrics for every room in a home or even a hotel,” Harsey added.

Christian Fischbacher will be in the three showrooms owned by Rosemary and Steven Harsey in January. They will be the focus of presentations during the Laguna Spring market and West Week, both in March 2003.
